School Counseling Office Layout...easy or not?
Creating an office environment that is comfortable, inviting, and projects a feeling of safety is important. Below is an example of an ideal layout for a school counselor's office. The school counselor's desk will be on the right with an area for parents or clients to sit across the desk. The left of the office will feature a quiet area with sofa and chairs. This area can be utilized for small group sessions and a more relaxed area. Splitting the office into two sections, almost creates two offices in one. One "office" is for paperwork and business, and the other is for counseling sessions.
I would also add some toys or stress relief items to the office. These were not available on the office building tool. I would also add some artwork or posters to the walls. These would add some color and make the office less sterile.
I would also be careful to keep the office clean and uncluttered. Many of the students may be stressed when they enter the office. A cluttered office may cause some students stress and distractions.

Great setup Andrea and I like the way you explained it all!
